AREA COMPUTER SOCIETY


The purpose of the Hendersonville Area Computer Society is to provide and promote the dissemination and exchange of computer related information of an educational nature to its members having comparable interests in Computers. Our constitution and bylaws will give you an overview of our goals. There is ample opportunity for you to share your expertise by serving as one of our officers or on a committee, HACS offers you the opportunity to grow, to share and to learn via a number of members only programs as well as the following programs to which the public is invited to see if they wish to join (up to two meetings may be attended without being a member).


Monthly Programs


The HACS General Meeting convenes at the Opportunity House in Hendersonville . The evening begins at 6:30PM with a 45 minute skill development classes in "Windows Applications".   From 7:30 to 8:30PM invited speakers present programs on current issues involving software, hardware, as well as other computer related topics. 


SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPS


Meet with people in the SIGS who share an interest in a specific computer-related topic. The focus for the first three months, January through March will be Vista. The January meeting will be on the second Thursday of the month, January 11th from 1 to 3 PM at the Opportunity House. Times and places of future meetings will be announced.

DOOR PRIZES


HACS members
are eligible for door prizes, awarded at the end of the program. Prizes range through the full spectrum of computer related items—from mousepads to t-shirts to software and even hardware.

MEMBERSHIP


Annual dues for the first year are $35 for a family and $30 for an individual. If you wish to join either come to a meeting - fill out an information sheet and pay the first year fee or send your name, address, e-mail address, and telephone address along with a check payable to HACS and send to:
